Released last month, marks developer Nival Interactive's return to its imaginative world of Ether that debuted two years ago. The initial title garnered extensive praise, with a substantial portion directed at its turn-based tactical combat system in which a hero character explores a strategic map, unaccompanied by troops or minions, but with a pack of cards that can be used to summon creatures and cast spells.
Each of the game's four races has a starting deck, to which more powerful cards can be added over time. These are purchased with resources from captured stockpiles and mines. Ether is what powers the entire magic system.
There are four 'threads' - Chaos, Vitality, Motion and Synthesis - that serve as the bases for the unique magical powers and creatures of the Chaot, Vital, Kinet and Synthet races respectively. The new title builds on this base by substantially raising the proportion of RPG elements. The story aspect has been elevated from something of a backdrop to a major focus. This time, the team has implemented a complex, twisting tale encompassing five campaigns and complete with NPCs, side quests and multiple perspectives depending on the race you're playing. There's also a greater emphasis on the hero; in the sequel, you take one character through the entire game, advancing in experience, skills and power according to the decisions you make. Encompassing hundreds of spells and creatures that create seemingly infinite tactical alternatives, the combat system has also been enhanced by implementing new monsters and magic available to all four races. For those keen to know more, this guide comes from the people who understand the game best, its creators at Nival. Includes eight exclusive campaign maps.
Kinet Campaign Walkthrough Mission 1 Objective - Save the trapped Kinet Use Lesser Unsummoning to annoy the enemy and then just send Aviaks to peck it to death. The first enemy we encounter is a level 1 (1LVL) Aviak Scout (1). After a brief conversation with a female Kinet colleague (2), we move on. We take the naval base from the Bronze Abomination (3) and get a Scale Skin spell as a reward. Then, jump into the brand new Kinet carrier and log into the lighthouse-shaped control tower (that saves us 10 days).
Wall of Air (4) is no big deal if you keep your Unsummoning spells for the creatures that can attack and don't waste them on Walls. Having received a transparent levitating girl spell, we go to clean the water area of all sorts of iron junk - e.g.
There's a Synthet (5) from whom we can take Scroll of the Maggot artefact. Landing at another Kinet naval base (6) we collect a new specialization (7) - Suicidal Hunger. The Pteros (8) (2LVL) is pecked to death by Aviaks; we get two spells for our trouble. The Pale Avenger (9) (2LVL) is a serious opponent, but happily, it is particularly sensitive to Lesser Unsummoning; we collect a couple of spells from the dead body.
A Wall Of Breeze (10) (3LVL) is guarding the sacred Temple of Frost Wind, which is one of the places to visit here. A Pale Channeler (11) (3LVL) is guarding a super wrench you simply must have.
Before the battle, place in your deck a Hunger spell (you should have got it from one of your victims). Don't hesitate to replace Lesser Unsummoning with it; it's needed to deal with the Lamias that come to your opponent quite quickly, and nothing but the above-mentioned Hunger will take care of them.
In the shops (12), we buy Lesser Disenchant, and then dive into the teleport that brought you to the same Kinet with whom we had such a nice friendly chat at the beginning. For repairing the bridge, she gives us more Scale Skin and Hunger spells, and sends us on our next mission.
If you get stuck on a particular map and you can never seem to get ahead, it’s not anywhere near as bad as you think it is. All that you have to do is farm the battles in order to earn more matter. If you aren’t getting the tiles that you need in order to complete a particular structure, reroll for tiles by spending 3 matter. Keep going and keep fighting if you need to fight. Also, don’t waste tiles on unnecessary areas because there is only a limited number of tiles that you can put down before you hit your maximum and fail the mission. Reroll for the tiles that you need in order to complete the necessary segments to finish, and don’t worry about running out of matter as you can get infinitely more matter just by battling over and over again.Want to have one of the best and rarest teams in the world? The primary suggestion is simply to farm battles until you earn 20,000 ether. Then go to the store area and go to the card packs and purchase the five-pack of premium silver picks (buy four get one free) which gives you a sky high chance of earning at least one legendary and multiple superior cards.
Repeat as often as needed for an extremely rare batch of cards. The grinding portion is slow, but the way to make it happen is to keep fighting until you come across a treasure chest. Then you’ll have to fight for the three keys to open it. Once you get all three of the keys and win, huge rewards will be inside, often including valor points and new creatures to add to your party as well.
Or go back to a world that you have beaten already (or a chapter) and then beat it all over again.Changing your lineup of creatures has eluded the grasp of many a player. All you have to do in order to do this is to start a battle, then go to the “My Army” button and then tap the active player that you want to switch out. Tap whoever you want to switch in, and then switch them. Tap and hold to see a creature’s statistics before you make up your mind.Wanna restart the game from the beginning with all of the new knowledge that you have? Then all you have to do is delete the app, then download it again.
After you finish downloading it, shut off all of your data, 3G, WiFi or any methods of connecting to the internet, start the game again, and it will be all new. Finish the tutorial and then re-enable your internet services and you will keep your new saved game.Pages: 4.
